Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam (MMVS) is one of the very active Spiritual organizations of the St. Mary’s Church.  Under the leadership of Samajam president and vicar of the parish, Fr Paulose Peter, and its Secretary, Mrs. Valsa Joy, the members meet on Sundays after the Church Service. Reading the Bible, singing hymns, Bible studies, discussion of religious topics and extemporary prayers are the usual norm. Bishops and priests who visit the church time to time are invited as guest speakers.

Business meetings are also held at times to explore and discuss ways and means to help the community and to engage in charitable activities. We participated in a Raffle sale sponsored by the Diocesan level MMVS and was able to raise money for providing aid to the sick and to help those poor women in Indiia who badly needed financial help to get married. The Samajam members celebrated Aug 15th as Samajam Day and the day’s collections also went to Charity.  The Church hosted the Diocesan MMVS Annual conference for the year 2008.  Approximately 300 people attended the conference including Bishops and Clergy and it was a great success with the co-operation from all our church members. The agenda for the year 2009 include a Bible study on the Epistle to Romans. The members of MMVS are looking forward to having more activities this year to spiritually enlighten the members and to cater to the needs of the helpless. MMVS avails itself of every opportunity to reach out and touch someone  in a special way, following the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.
